Casa Seibel is a quiet, well managed hostel two blocks southeast of Xela’s Parque a Centro América, the heart of Quetzaltenango’s zone 1 downtown area. The hostel offers affordable dormitories and comfortable, furnished private accommodations encircling two central courtyards and a communal kitchen, dining room and lounge.
The hostel is situated in the historic, mid 19th century home of the late Ave & Regina, sisters and embroiderers who raised orphaned children, developed their property and contributed to their community for more than fifty years.
Casa Seibel offers ample accommodations and a relaxed, low key ambience. Their open kitchen, dining room, den and various outdoor lounging areas create a casual, homely environment for longterm guests and short-term visitors alike. Towels, a guest computer, coffee in the mornings, reliable WiFi throughout the property and collaboration with local tourism and travel agencies add to Casa Seibel’s appeal.
Bathrooms and showers are shared among guests at Casa Seibel. A weekly rate from Q450 to Q700 is available for a furnished room with a large bed that sleeps one or two comfortably.
To make reservations at Casa Seibel, call or email. Walk-ins are welcome but space cannot be guaranteed.
